Cathers Home Design Director, Denise Taylor, went to work on her own home remodel. Taking a 70’s ranch and transforming it into a stunning modern farmhouse. Subtle details like the black framed windows and baten siding add to the curb appeal. The interiors are warm and inviting. Reclaimed hardwood flooring and the use of wallpaper add to the charm. A separate ADU out back adds extra space for guests.
This wonderful new duplex was designed and built by our owner Paul Cathers. Local builder Patrick Maley of Maley Building Corporation oversaw the home construction. Aimee Conrady of Axis Productions provided the architectural concepts and drawings. The design team from Cathers Home was integral in helping Paul achieve his vision. The result is a stunning mountain contemporary home with wonderful curb appeal and pleasing interior finishes.
This new build uses unique ceiling features to create a striking style while leaving the floor clear and open for entertaining. Some of the ceiling features that can be incorporated into any design plan include:
This Aspen penthouse features rich interior architecture and decoration. The design features a combination of textures that make the home unique. Not only are there plenty of accents and pieces of wall art that customize the rooms, but every surface is also different, such as the:
Transform your home into a cozy cabin retreat. This remodel uses heavy wood finishes and stone to bring in elements of Colorado’s mountainous beauty that makes the indoors look and feel warm. Some classic rustic features include:
Your cabin’s rugged style can really pop when it’s set against neutral colors such as gray, beige, pale blue, and white. These colors lighten the room so it doesn’t feel heavy, cluttered, or small.
In contrast to Buttermilk Mountain, the Red Mountain Living Room design features lighter-colored wood. Even with similar ceiling beam configurations and thick craftsman window treatments, the sandier wood colors keep the space light and bright. This creates more opportunity for a varied color palette. The furniture features more patterns and textures, and the accent pillows also have more striking, darkly colored patterns.
Wide open spaces allow for lots of easy movement and crowds. The Aspen Jewish Community Center features an open floor plan for its open areas and tables. The space is broken up by sliding doors that can segment the space as needed. Not only is there plenty of natural light and recessed general lighting, but accent lighting also illuminates the tables and artwork on the wall. Other high-quality interior design and remodeling features include:
If you love chic, contemporary styles, the design of Owl Creek Ranch can feature prominently in your own home’s remodel. At this property, our designs focused on geometric lines across the ceiling. These features included:
